Ok, this one sounds way easy, I know. So I waited until the rainstorm was unmatchable. Until the streets were flooding and everyone was running for shelter, a rainstorm where, even though it is caliente outside, the lightening and superfluous amounts of water send everyone fleeing the streets...those are the type of puddles I wanted to jump in. And we did. Miss Leah and I. We even put on our swimsuits and some summer dresses for the event...it was around 10 in the evening in Guatemala. The water made the reflections from streetlights and moonshine glow. It turned everything green, too :). I have no idea why this picture looks like it's raining buckets of green paint...We stood in almost knee-deep water (well, on me...Leah is quite taller than I :) and began singing and dancing in the rain. We actually became a means of entertainment for the neighbors...crazy gringa girls getting drenched in the rain singing in english...yeah, we loved it. The rainstorms visited often and we came to a point where we didn't even want to change our clothes. Our jeans and sweaters would stick to our skin and my brand new purse that had never been washed stained everything I was wearing hot pink! It was still worth it. Rain amazes me. So does puddle jumping.
